I designed this remodelled house with the help of D3 Architecture and the project took one year to complete – and wasn’t without complication. The original contractor stopped work and I had to choice but to hire a second contractor to finish the job. The poor communication that became evident on this particular project taught me how important it is to speak up the moment something doesn’t feel quite right.
The original house had two small bedrooms and one very small bathroom. The new 2800 square-foot remodel boasts four bedrooms and 3 and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The garage was rebuilt with 14 foot ceilings to function as a photography studio with a large roll-up door facing west to capture the brilliance of the California afternoon sunlight. The unique studio space is accompanied by an attached office and half bathroom.
Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom and large patio. In the master ensuite, a beautiful and spacious steam shower opens to the patio and luscious greenery, making for a truly spa-like experience.
Modern, trendy and crisp in both design and décor, this Los Angeles home has a special appeal
